YOUR RESERVATION & BOOKING CONDITIONS
While all correspondence concerning your holiday choice will be with Gilli’s holidays, all resulting bookings will be confirmed by Gillian Lewin acting as booking agent for all the hotels and resorts as suppliers of holiday accommodation.
1. CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
All bookings accepted by Gillian Lewin are subject to these Terms and Conditions. Gillian Lewin relies on mutual understanding and trust between its clients and itself. The person making the booking for the Holiday Accommodation must be at least 18 years old at the time of booking.
2. PRICES/PAYMENTS
Gillian Lewin reserves the right to reduce prices in the case of ‘Special Offers’.
At the time of booking, unless otherwise stated, the accommodation will be deemed confirmed on receipt of Credit Card details which will be used to guarantee the booking. Exceptions to this will be clearly given in writing on the booking, in which case a partial or full payment may be requested and paid by Credit Card at the current fee shown. A legally binding contract is formed when the booking is made. Once confirmed and fully guaranteed or paid Gillian Lewin will send the accommodation voucher as written confirmation of the holiday by mail, fax or e-mail. The voucher must be presented on arrival at the resort and is valid only for the services as written on that voucher.
Payment of any and all applicable taxes, personal expenses, utility charges such as electricity, water and telephone, security deposits and other fees charged by the resort at the local rate are the responsibility of the client.
The following credit cards, Visa and Mastercard are accepted. The card holder responsible for payment of the total holiday cost must be the lead name of the party travelling. By accepting these Terms & Conditions the card holder shall be deemed to have authorised Gillian Lewin to use the card details to guarantee the booking or take payment for the holiday. In the case of the credit card holder not being the lead name of the party, payment can only be accepted if accompanied by a written statement from the card holder authorising Gillian Lewin to take payment for the total cost of the holiday.
3. CANCELLATION OR ALTERATION TO HOLIDAY BOOKINGS
Cancellation by the client
The client may give notice in writing to cancel the holiday booking at any time and the cancellation will be effective from the date that Gillian Lewin actually receives such notification. Many hotels have their own cancellation policy and details will be shown on the booking confirmation. However where no particular policy is shown the following charges will apply. In the event of cancellation after the booking has been confirmed the following cancellation charges are applicable:
Days prior to departure:
- 60 – 30 days 10% of holiday cost
- 29 – 20 days 25% of holiday cost
- 19 – 04 days 50% of holiday cost
- 03 – 00 days 75% of holiday cost
In the case of holiday apartment only, should one or more members of the party cancel, the full price of the apartment is still payable by the remaining occupants.
Cancellation by Gillian Lewin
All reasonable endeavours will be made to provide the holiday booking as advertised. However, bookings are subject to change and we reserve the right to cancel your booking, particularly in the following circumstances: Force Majeure e.g. war, threat of war, riot, civil commotion or unrest, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, fire, adverse weather conditions, natural or nuclear disaster, epidemics and all similar events beyond Gillian Lewin control. In any of the above circumstances, Gillian Lewin will try to offer suitable alternative arrangements or otherwise make a full refund of all monies paid relating to the holiday booking as advertised.
Alteration to Holiday Bookings
Gillian Lewin will assist where possible with alterations to bookings already confirmed. A fee of €40,00 per booking may be charged if the alteration is accepted.
4. ACCOMMODATION
Members of the holiday party must occupy and use the holiday accommodation in a responsible, careful and secure manner. All damage, breakages and other liabilities incurred in the accommodation will be charged to clients and must be paid before departure. In the case of apartment only accommodation, a breakages deposit may be required on arrival at reception.
The total number of persons (babies and children included) occupying the holiday accommodation must not exceed the maximum occupancy per room or apartment as shown on the booking confirmation.
The holiday accommodation provided is only for the clients as listed on the confirmation voucher.
5. COMPLAINTS
Wherever possible complaints should be brought to the notice of the hotel or resort staff who will make every possible effort to deal with the problem. If they are unable to do so, full details should be sent in writing to Gillian Lewin
